Product introduction

1. Optimized for VHF Marine & Land Mobile

Pre‑tuned for 156–165MHz covering all international marine channels (VHF 16, 72, etc.) plus commercial VHF frequencies – perfect for boats, harbors, and rural communication.


2. High Gain (6.5dBi) for Extended Range

Provides 6.5dBi gain with vertical polarization, significantly increasing transmission and reception range compared to small whip antennas. Achieves reliable links over open water or flat terrain.


3. Ultra‑Low VSWR (≤1.5)

Exceptional impedance matching reduces reflected power and protects your radio – ensures maximum power transfer and longer transmitter life.


4. Durable FRP (Fiberglass) Radome

Constructed from high‑strength fiberglass, this antenna resists corrosion, UV radiation, salt spray, and extreme temperatures (-50°C to +80°C). Suitable for permanent outdoor installation in coastal or desert environments.


5. Complete Kit with Cable & Connector

Includes 4 meters of RG58A/U low‑loss coax and a PL259 (UHF male) connector pre‑attached – ready to connect to most VHF marine and land mobile radios. Total height 2.4m, weight only 0.6kg for easy mast mounting.

FAQ

Q: What frequency band does the GLF126 cover?

A: It covers 156–165MHz, which includes all international VHF marine channels, plus some VHF commercial and amateur bands. For specific channel lists, please refer to your regional frequency allocation.


Q: Is this antenna suitable for amateur (HAM) radio?

A: Yes, it works well on the 2‑meter VHF amateur band (144–148MHz) with slightly reduced performance. For optimal HAM use, we recommend a model tuned to 144–148MHz – please contact us.


Q: What type of connector and cable are included?

A: The antenna comes with a PL259 (UHF male) connector pre‑attached to 4 meters of RG58A/U coaxial cable. You can connect directly to most VHF marine or land mobile radios.


Q: Can I cut the cable to a shorter length?

A: Yes, you can shorten the RG58A/U cable. However, avoid sharp bends and properly install a new PL259 connector if needed. Longer cables may require low‑loss alternatives like RG213.


Q: Is the antenna waterproof?

A: The FRP radome is fully sealed and weatherproof, suitable for continuous outdoor use. The connector and cable junction should be sealed with self‑amalgamating tape for marine environments.


Q: What is the wind survivability?

A: The 2.4m fiberglass whip can withstand winds up to 120 km/h (75 mph) without damage. For hurricane‑prone areas, consider lowering the antenna or using a heavier‑duty model.
