Q: What frequency bands does the GL148 support?
A: It is designed specifically for the 868MHz ISM band (e.g., European LoRa, Sigfox). Not suitable for 915MHz or 2.4GHz.
Q: Can I use this antenna with a 915MHz device?
A: No, the antenna is tuned for 868MHz. Using it at 915MHz will cause higher VSWR and poor efficiency. We offer other models for 915MHz – please contact us.
Q: What is the cable length?
A: Standard cable length is not specified in the datasheet; custom lengths are available with RG1.13 or RG1.37 coax. Please inquire for your requirement.
Q: Is this antenna adhesive-backed?
A: The FPC material is not pre-installed with adhesive, but you can use thin double-sided tape or acrylic adhesive for mounting in your enclosure.
Q: How do I solder or connect the antenna?
A: It comes with an IPEX connector – simply plug onto your module’s IPEX receptacle. No soldering needed. For direct soldering, please contact us for custom termination.
Q: What is the minimum bending radius for the FPC?
A: We recommend a bending radius >5mm to avoid damaging the copper traces. Repeated sharp folds may degrade performance.
