FAQ

Q: Does it support the Galileo system?

A: It covers the 1561-1602MHz frequency band and is compatible with the Galileo E1 signal (1575.42MHz). The receiver must support decoding.


Q: Is a 70×70mm ground plane mandatory?

A: Yes. The 4dBic gain is based on testing with this size. Insufficient ground plane will result in reduced gain (approximately 1.2dB gain reduction for every 50% reduction in area).


Q: How do I choose the length of the IPEX interface cable?

A: The standard RF1.37 cable (length not specified) is available. Custom lengths of 10cm to 1m are supported. A shielded sleeve is recommended for long-distance transmission.


Q: Can it be used with devices in metal housings?

A: A clearance area of 15mm or greater must be maintained directly above the antenna. The metal housing must be connected to a 70×70mm ground plane.


Q: Can a 3.3V power supply be connected to a 5V power supply?

A: Strictly prohibited! The voltage range is strictly limited to 3.0-3.6V. Overvoltage will damage the LNA chip.


Q: How does the axial ratio change at tilt angles?

A: ≤2dB at zenith, typically ≤3.5dB at 30° elevation (contact technical support for a test report).


Q: What is the LNA gain bandwidth?

A: The bandwidth is not specified, but a V.S.W.R. <2.0 ensures effective operation across the entire 1561-1602MHz band.
